About

A bit of a wanderer, I'm a product of the Dakotas. My career path has included stops in private and public education as an elementary and middle school teacher and principal, worked with a couple universities, served with a United Methodist Foundation, with the UMC Development Center, VP for Development, helped launch a Doctorate in Leadership degree, provided consulting to churches and non-profits, and worked as a Chaplain.

Through a father who preached with parables and influenced by the power of a story, I have used parables in my personal and professional life. It has led me to examine my story, the stories of others, and how we can move from story to parable.

Writing is for reflection and as a hobby and culminated in publishing a personal blog, Parsonage Parables. In addition, I've had several devotions and articles published. Author of three books - It's Not My Problem...Or Is It? From Nudge to Nonprofit // Simply Grace: Everyday Glimpses of God // Mighty Winds & Gentle Whispers: The Purpose and Power of the Holy Spirit, as well as two children's books. Donate all profits from books to our ministry, Haiti Alive.

Mission work in Haiti has morphed into co-founding a non-profit called Haiti Alive. We work in the areas of Education, Healthcare, and supporting Women,Children, and Elderly on the island of LaGonave, Haiti.

Thanks for checking out my life and adventures!
