A bit of a wanderer, I'm a product of the Dakotas. My career path has included stops in private and public education as an elementary and middle school teacher and principal, worked with a couple universities, served with a United Methodist Foundation, with the United Methodist Church Development Center and now as Vice President for Development & Communications.
Through a father who preached with parables and influenced by the power of a story, I have used parables in my personal and professional life. It has led me to examine my story, the stories of others, and how we can move from story to parable.
Writing is for reflection and as a hobby and culminated in publishing a personal blog, Parsonage Parables. In addition, I've had several devotions and articles published. In February 2019, my book Simply Grace: Everyday Glimpses of God will be published.
Mission work in Haiti has morphed into co-founding a non-profit for Haiti, called LaGonave Alive. It has been satisfying to be able to make a small difference in a place with so much need! LaGonave is a 40-mile by 10-mile island off the coast of Haiti.
Thanks for checking out my life and adventures!
