It’s quiet here in my box,
I can’t even come out on a Midnight Clear.
The days and the Nights are Silent.
But I can tell when it’s becoming the Bleak Midwinter.
O’ the Faithful will Come
And I’ll be out of this box and
I’ll be on the O’ Christmas Tree, O’ Christmas tree.
So I’m hung with care and
Along with the bells that jingle,
Along with the lights that twinkle,
Knowing that Saint Nicholas soon will be here.
But my hope each year is that
They go past Rudolph
And Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.
To Hush, Hush.
To Come thou Long Expected Jesus.
Because it’s an O’ Holy Night
And we’re swept Away in the Manger.
There was Joy to the World,
For unto us a Child is Born, unto us a Son is given.
It is Love that Came Down at Christmas,
In the Little Town of Bethlehem,
While Shepherds Watched their Flocks.
Along with the Three Kings of Orient are all saying,
What Child is This?
Do You Hear What I Hear?
It’s the Herald Angels singing.
So we Go Tell it on the Mountain,
That there’s an Infant Holy, Infant Lowly.
Mary Did you Know we will call him,
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Back in the box I’ll go for another year.
God Rest you Merry Gentlepeople,
Let nothing you dismay,
Because Jesus Christ our Savior,
Was born on Christmas Day.
